I am a Naval Aviator and the time we spend in the air is only a small fraction of the total time we are at work. In the Navy, we have a great deal of collateral duties and responsibilities aside from flying. Some of the problems for Navy Aircrew Members are the same as in any business, but in the military you have to deal with those same personalities that you may or may not get along with in the office and deal with them in a plane where you MUST get along with them for the safety of the crew and aircraft.

The fuel still in the truck,

The runway behind him.

And the sky above him.
