true caterpillars can metamorphose into either moths or butterflies. However a few species, like bagworms, the females will remain in the coccoon as an adult and resemble the caterpillar much more than a winged adult. But in general, the vast majority of caterpillars will eventually become either a moth or a butterfly.

No..some turn into moths. Depending on what caterpillar they are.

not necessarily it can be be turn in to a moth also if survive.
