Can anyone tell me what the best co.uk website is to have, I don't want anything mega expensive but one that is decent enough to upload pictures/slide shows on so I can sell handmade jewellery?

Also, I don't want to use ebay really. I just want a site that you pay a one off fee for the year.

Ebay only charge 30 quid a month for a shop, people can pay you direct with paypal and you can really photograph your stuff well, and you can link your items in a way that more people will see them here and overseas.

I have found Lunarpages to be very reliable. It is a U.S. based hosting service starting from $7 per month. Paying a little more for hosting tends to be worth it when you consider the extras you get with your account.

Any URL can be used for your account (co.uk, com, org, net, etc...). Storage is more than adequate and downtime is neglible.

U.S. hosts are usually the most reliable and they are used to dealing with international customers.

Get a professional to do it, it'll cost you more but they do a good job of it and your site won't end up looking cheap.
