Linguistically, the opposite of 'sweet' is 'bitter'.
Realistically, physically 'salty' is the opposite of 'sweet'.
For your purposes sweet is the right word.
Your sentence is a little strange though, I am not entirely sure what you mean.

exciting question...i might say bitter. i might say that because of the fact something may be candy and bitter- for occasion "candy and bitter sauce" and bitter may be an opposite because of the fact something CAN"T be candy and bitter on an identical time...i assume???
