I just feel so low at the minute and the last thing i want to do is upset people on this but I just hate how things have gone. The past few months have been so unbelievably stressful and at times i just think to myself what is the point? I always said that no matter what you should give it ago but i really don't care anymore. Is it fair to be suffering? I could explain everything but that would take up another million questions and today i just ain't in the mood for it.

Cheer up my son. Look on the bright side. At least you don't live in Norway.

Hey, cheer up, boy! The first 3 months of this year were probably the worst in ma' life. That's kinda too long to explain, but the fact is that now there are only 2 things I wanna do: a) kill everyone b) kill myself. Not seriously of course. Sure, there are a lot of really banal things I may tell you about that, but I'm not actually sure you wanna read it. Just have a break for one day. Forget about everything and do something you really like. Everything is serious only if we take it seriously. Good luck!

I must say that I completely understand you. I have my bad days, but every once in a while a good day turns up. A week ago I thought that my life couldn't get any worse. However, two days ago, for the first time in my life I had a perfect day. That's how I do it. I try to live my life day by day. And when I'm going through these low points in my life, I always remember that "it can't rain all the time". Music helps. So do friends. And also fresh air, sunshine... I know this sounds cheesy but it really does work for me.

First of all, anyone who has told you to "cheer up" or consider people worse off than you or that suicide is cowardly or selfish etc etc clearly have no idea what you're going through. Most likely such responses will just make you feel worse. So ignore them.

I know exactly how you feel and I have no miracle answer. I once saw this link on here and though it's a little patronising it makes some good points: http://www.metanoia.org/suicide/

I've also seen this link and it could be worth checking out: http://www.supportline.org.uk/problems/suicide.php

Lastly, if you are suffering from depression or suspect you might be, you should visit your doctor. Tell them you think you're at risk of taking your life and they should be able to offer some help. And if you want to ask me anything, email anytime.

Also - it's not true that people who talk about suicide never do it, in fact people who talk about it are considered at risk, so ignore comments like that too.

I know the feeling. I guess what it comes down to is whether you really think life is pointless. I wouldn't advocate suicide to anyone but at the same time I can't deny how sometimes it feels like the only option. You should try talking to someone about it beofre making any rash decisions because once you take that kind of step, it can't be taken back. Talk to your loved ones or find something in your life that you enjoy and focus on that. There are always other options. Take a holiday perhaps, or just rest. But don't give up.

You just hang in there and you are going to see that things do change. Maybe not today or tomorrow but I do know that if you keep hope your future holds many wonderful blessings. Please in the mean time get some help. Talk with a doctor, get some therapy or perhaps you need some medication for awhile. I hope you realize that you are very young and have a future ahead of you. Take time off and take care.

If you're on the bottom, there's only one way to go. I'm not going to give you any glib answers because I've suffered from depression as long as I can remember and nothing anyone says sometimes makes an iota of difference but cling to the moments when it's not so bad and remember the days when its been good.

If I was going to give you a soundbite it would be that everything passes and tomorrow's another day.

It seems as though you are at a very low ebb at the moment. You are in many ways master of your own destiny. I think at times like this, and most people have been at that point sometime in their life, try and think of someone else who is in a worse position than you. Perhaps you need a whole new outlook and something positive to look forward to. Is there no one who loves you?? Perhaps you could give the Samaritans a call I know they are very good. Most people who talk about committing suicide are calling out for help. Those who are serious about taking their own life never talk about it they just do it. You sound like you need a whole new outlook on life and positive things to look forward to. I won't say don't do anything foolish because it is your choice, and with the right help you will make the best and the right choice for you. I hope you find the answers you need, people really do care you know..otherwise people like me would not bother to answer you, so at least one person cares about you and I don't even know you.

im sorry your feeling so low, from what ive seen of you on here you always seam alot of fun. it is hard when feeling so depressed about things, suicide really isnt the answer, how would your loved ones feel, and im sure you wouldnt want to go and leave me, itll be no fun on here without you!!! i go through feeling down alot and have needed treatment for depression before, the only thing that helped really is thinking you have to fall right to the bottom to get back up again, once youre so low things can only get better. try to remember that once in a while, things will start to look up, it might not be right away but it will get better in time. dont give up honey! hope you start to feel better soon. big kisses and hugs xoxox

Alright Chris, firstly nobody knows how you feel(only you).Ive
been to 6 funerals in 3 years and half of those were down
to suicide.A good friend once gave me some valuable
advice about life, she said when all your problems take
over, don't try to deal with them all at once(cos they will
overwhelm you).Make a list of all the negatives, then
try and change them one at a time. Then make a list of
all the good things in your life and hold on to them.

Most importantly, make a list of ten things you want
(your dreams, ambitions big or small as long as they
are yours) it doesn't matter what they are as long as
they are things that are important to you! nobody
can get to ten,but if you manage five or six your
half way there.

Depression has a nasty way of creeping up on you.
So I would really suggest you see a doctor, and tell
them exactly how you feel(just be honest cos if your
not they cant help).Take care of yourself brother.

Hun, that's not the answer. Believe me, we all have those moments but my grandpa told me a quote that helps me get through most days: "this too shall pass." if you're experiencing chronic bouts with depressive thoughts, you may want to consider talking with a therapist who can suggest ways to relieve some of the aspects of your life that cause the greatest tension...breathe and know that you are just as worthy of walking this earth as any other person. Peace and luv, me
