No, they don't "hate" them at all, they simply choose not to associate with them.

You are assuming facts not in evidence, who says butch gay men hate effeminate men? I lot of butch gays I've known have a marked preference for them. Personaly, being bi, I find them unappealing because if I'm with a man I want him to act like a man, if I want someone who acts like a woman, I'll go to a woman.

I would be considered 'butch' or masculine but no, I don't see these qualities, simply because I already acknowledge them. I know what you're saying in regards to some men being somewhat aghast at effeminate men, but for myself, it's not an issue. I like all types and don't simply exclude someone because of their affectations, after all, we all have them. I understand the caring and nurturing side of myself and feel it's an important aspect of being a "real" man. To deny that part of you is to deny what makes it possible to love, to care, to be with someone.
Just my opinion.

People are people.
Some people think being masculine is sexy [I'm one], and some people think being more feminine is sexy. Neither one is more "right" than the other.
To me, it takes all types to make this world an interesting place.
I would certainly never hate a more feminine man. I probably would never have sex with him, though.
