We have to make up our own essay questions and I am struggling to find one.

Either first or seond LA. I think I'd prefer to do a question related to first. It's a 2000 wd essay. I was thinking of doing something related to morphology acqusition and proof that rules are acquired; i.e. overgeneralisation of rules. Or something along those lines.

If you want to write about language acquisition you should first decide if you want to write about first or second language acquisition but they almost have the same theories.
Try to prove how babies acquire language.

Why not pick a quote from Noam Chomsky (who came up with the theory of the Language Acquisition Device) and debate it in your essay, using evidence as examples to back up your arguments?

first or second language acquistion? How long an essay?

Language Acquistion was my favourite course ever, and I even had an 18-20 month-old at the time so it was just fascinating!
