The light from a star is very small. During the day so much light enters your eye such a fickle light can not be seen. To see a star during the day you should go into a dark well. If the sky is clean you can see stars. Even if it is slightly cloudy the light reflected from it will make it impossible to watch stars.

there is star on sky in day time but we cant see because of the sun rays and light and scientifically sun has yellow light so we cannot detect the stars but when solar eclipse is there you can see stars during day time.

it's not so confusing,and not even becoz sun is brighter than stars,but...

the ATMOSPHERE which scatters sun light so much that in the scattered sunlight intensity starlight is is too negligible to be seen.

Note:on moon stars are visible even at dawn and day.

huh? of course we can see a star, it's called the sun!
If you are talking about constellations you see at night, because our own solarsystems star's light blocks out us being able to see the fainter light from distant stars.
