Yes it is possible and it is possible at any age to get circumcised but,I disagree with the practice of routine circumcision and I disagree with the recent discovery that circumcision reduces the incidence of HIV,This is a disease that was first found in the United States, where the majority of males are circumcised and some of the first men to get the disease were Roman Catholic priests. The only time that HIV numbers decreased was when people started using condoms as a precaution, not only against an unwanted pregnancy but also as a means of helping to prevent contracting an STD.This latest finding, true or not, will only give circumcised men the green light to be more promiscuous and take less precautions.Keep your foreskin but, wrap it when you have sex with a partner.HIV numbers are on the increase because medical treatment is so much better now and contracting HIV is no longer the death sentence that it once was, therefor men are more willing to have unprotected sex.

Unless you have an intense desire to have sexual relations with HIV-positive women and your culture says condoms are forbidden, there is no reason to do this. (And even with circumcision, you can still get HIV that way; it just improves your chances of escaping it slightly.)
Otherwise, just use a condom. It works a lot better. The US has the highest rate of circumcision outside Israel and the Muslim world, and it also has a much higher rate of STDs than Europe or non-Muslim Asia, where circumcision is rare. About half a million circumcised American men have died of AIDS!
So the advantages are slight. The disadvantages are profound. You will never again enjoy sex as much, and your partners will also have reduced pleasure. Read all about it at http://www.healthcentral.com/drdean/408/60750.html
Plenty of men, like cut50yearsago on this forum, are going through the tedious years-long process of foreskin restoration. See http://www.norm.org Do you really think they would go to all that trouble if sex were just as good without? Try reading what a man on this forum has to say: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Ag6NCvsKHFLJ3xCs6Qb8MzPsy6IX?qid=20070101193846AA385UM
And that's after 4-6 weeks of not being allowed to have any sex, not even solo, and almost that long a period of intense pain. Not worth it, brother.

Hi Goller,
it is possible to have a circumcision at 40, I know guys who have had it done when they were in their 50's. Like all operations it involves an element of pain. U will find that it is much more hygenic in terms of cleanliness and reduces the chances of std's and also other ailments. the pain element is bad for a few days and it looks a bit horrendous after all it is ur penis, it is very sensitive after it is done, but once it heals u will notice a big difference.

It is totally possible, my dad was circumcised 3 years ago when he was 41, he says it was a little painful the first days but he felt more comfortable afterwards. He says his foreskin was starting to strangle his erections, and that it is easier to keep clean (not that it wasn't clean before). I'm 19 and I'm circumcised and I've never had any problem!!

It's possible. I was reading a health article on Yahoo last week that stated that circumcision is now common practice among men in Africa because it's a PROVEN medical fact that it reduces the incidence of AIDS.

All circumcision does is decreases maintenance. If you clean behind the foreskin daily and after sexual intercourse, there is no reason you need to get a circumcision.
The pain is intense, with how many nerves are down there. I am sure they will sedate you during the procedure, but recovery is still painful

It can be done at any age. But I wouldn't rely on it having any effect on your exposure to STD's. The main benefit is that it reduces the risk of cancer and bacteria that can accumulate under the foreskin if it isn't properly cleansed.

It is possible, yes pain does occur, but as with all surgical procedures can be controlled and is temporary. I have read that it reduces the risk of HIV/AIDS in theory and also prevents penile cancer. This is a difficult decision and should be made with your partner and after discussion with your doctor.

Oh yes its do-able. I had an uncle that was circumcised at 70. It is very painful to heal and there is much swelling but like all wounds it will heal with time.
