His stats show that he's been consistent in his 7 years in the NFL. Every year he has 1,000+ rushing seasons and averages about 14 TD's a season. Repeating a 1,815 yard rushing and 31 TD season will prove to be difficult, but I look for him to still have a good season. It all depends on what Norv Turner has in store for the offense. As long as his key linemen stay, he'll be in good shape.

That is unless they put him on Madden 08', then he'll be jinxed to say the least ha.

Barring injury to him or that stellar offensive line, yes he could repeat that. He has been very consistant over the years to date.

However, there is a tendancy to see other running backs to have fantastic seasons and then get injured the following season...ie: Shawn Alexander, Terrell Davis, Clinton Portis, and Jamal Lewis. Not sure why this is, but hopefully LT will miss this one.

I agree with Sweetie, LT will have a great year. Being from SF where the chargers got Norv from, I expect at least 1500 yds and 20 tds from him this year under a Norv Turner offense. His versatility and QB development will take Rivers to the next level. With Rivers not only being a scrappy QB but also a very affective QB, the defense will not be able to focus just on LT. He will then be available in the draw. 1500 and 20 tds, my prediction.

There is ONLY ONE LT-Lawrence Taylor. LaDainian Tomlinson, or LDT, is a very good player who will have a good season, except for when he plays the Broncos. They sucked against the Chargers both times this past season for the first time in like 10 years.

He never went for more than 75 yards rushing while the Chargers played the Broncos in Denver and before last season rushed for over 100 yards against Denver maybe once or twice. Denver has reworked their defense so, he will do good, but not against the Broncos. GO BRONCOS!!!

I think Sweetie( I love a woman that knows football) may have said it best...but I will answer for what its worth.

LT is a beast and has shown throughout his career to be consistantly great. He gets his O line back this next year and will be running the same basic scheme even though he has a new coach. Rivers will only be better this year and will open a lot of running with pass plays. He may not score as many TDs but I definately see him running just as well and for at least as many yards.

GO BOLTS!!!

all else being equal, yeah, he has the ability to repeat that kind of year.

that being said, there is no way it will happen. his TD record will remain untouched for quite a while. he may have a great year yardage-wise (1600) and TD-wise (20+), which is an AMAZING season, but to repeat the kind of season he had THIS year? not gonna happen.

Look what happened with Manning. he threw 49 TD's, then the next year, for no real reason, his production dropped off considerably from that level. he still played great, had a wonderful year by QB standards, but not at the same level.

2006 was one of those magical years for LT2. he won't repeat it, but it was VERY special to watch (Especially since I had him in fantasy football!)

Since he will have the same offensive line, he will have another good year. I don't think he'll score 31 tds, but he should be better than average in that department. The only thing is he won't get a Super Bowl ring because the head coach sux.

I'm sure he'll have another good year (1000+ yds & 15+ td's) barring any injury ... but no way will he get the same numbers with Turner coaching that he had this year with Schottenheimer.

Though his schedule should be a bit tougher this year, his offensive line is still intact, so he should have another great year. Don't expect the same numbers, but they'll still be awesome.
