I use www.darkenhosting.com who for £17 a year give you a domain name, the hosting and have tons of free scripts including 3 ready built commerce sites which you just need to upload your stock into and connect it to worldpay, paypal or whatever you use for taking payments. They even do the installs for you automatically... they also have Joomla which I notice someone else mentioned but you really need to know what you are doing as its a CMS and thats a bit more than you really need.
I have a shop currently in development using one of the built in scripts. Have a look http://www.allsortsofbits.com

Why build a build a website when you can build a Business?
I hate disappointing you but 99% of all e commerce websites fail. However please read this I did not said this to earn the 2 points:-) There is only 1 option so you can succeed and I'll have to repeat this one more time so you can sink this in, THERE IS ONLY 1 option to succeed with e commerce these days.....
That is called site build it. These days building a e commerce website(layout, content etc.) is not hard. There are many hosts and programs that allow you to build magnificent websites however the problem why 99% bussiness fail is because they don't bring enough traffic to generate sells. Why go to your website when I can buy the same products on Amazon or other more reputable stores? The solution is use site build it!
ALL web hosts offer you space, bandwidth, and some functionalities but they don't give a crap if your business succeeds or not. SiteSell offers many tools and stuff to make your website succeed. I am toooo lazy to explain everything myself so just follow these links. Whatever you do take the video tour) When you are ready to buy please follow one of these links, I get a commision;-) You won't regret it I use it and it's the bomb and there 30 day money back guarentee. You won't loose anything.

You can get your name and your hosting space from many places (perhaps if you use an american registry it may be cheaper). Most of them will offer simple web design template, however, you can download a template free from the internet anyway. PayPal is a very easy way to set up your shopping cart, it is free, and you can do it on your own. This bit is a little tidious and you have to be patient, as you have to copy and paste the codes PayPal gives you for each item. PayPal shopping cart lets you register the one item and then a drop down menu of what sizes you have your item in, so luckily, you don't have to put in item by item for each size. At least it's free, because when I checked, other carts were quite expensive and you still have to have some payment system installed, for which you have to pay a percentage anyway.

Lots of them do that in one package. My advice will be to register domain on your name first. It's cost something around £15 per year and you will the owner of the domain (it is important even for adv). Americans are very good with web design. but you always can use a small shrift on the bottom of the web site (the info who buildup that site) that you like or want to do something similar. I have 2 companies to deal with main site but i don't want to advertise in here
