Length of the tail is calculated in ratio with the body.
Fish: Thresher Shark
Mammals: Humpback whale (ironically not the blue whale)
Land Mammals: Giraffe can have 8 feet (2.4 meters) long tail
Birds: Argus Pheasant at 5 feet 7 inches

Would you believe the giraffe has the longest tail of any land mammal? They can be 8 feet (2.4 meters) long, including the tuft on the end!
