Does anyone know if you can use food stamps to buy baby formula in the state of Pennsylvania? I don't have babies, nor do i need formula, but a friend of mine was wondering if it were at all possible.

I'm sure they can. WIC, women-infant-child programs are federal (national) and they recognize the importance of eating properly when women are pregnant, infants and children are growing and need proper nutrition. Food stamps are for all people in need. The only limits are alcohol and tobacco, and non-food items.

i wouldnt use the food stamps on formula, if she qualifies for food stamps then she qualifies for wic which will give her formula for free. formula can cost hundreds of dollars, so if she would to use her footstamps on it she would have wasted hundreds of dollars that she could have used on food.

Yes you can but if she qualifies for food stamps she will also qualify for WIC. She needs to apply for WIC. WIC will give her vouchers for formula.
