When you are on the pill your hormones are regulated throughout the entire month keeping your sex drive about the same the entire time. When you are off them you will ovulate again and your body knows it's your fertile time causing your sex drive to be increased for a few days out of the month.

The pill actually decreases sex drive. When you're off the pill, your hormones go back to where they're supposed to be, and...voila.
