depends on the lipstick...some make your lips look thicker, some more brilliant.
I usually wear deep red/cherry/burgundy lipstick, because this colour looks good on me: I have long dark hair and green eyes (quite like my avatar)

it makes a difference to the colour of your lips. depending upon the person and their dress sence this can quite often be a good thing and improve the look. or it can sometimes just look silly
