In China, there is a kind of dog used as meat. People don't eat pet dogs. I think it works the same way in Korean. This is a cultural issue. Like American eats a lot of beef, Indian don't. If India is the most powerful country, can they force others not to eat beef?

It tastes like dog.
If someone asked you what chicken tasted like, what would you say? Every meat tastes like the dead animal it came from. If you really want/need to know what dog tastes like, then you should taste it. (Not that I'm endorsing that!)
Also, it's not only certain Chinese cultures that eat dog but also Filipino, Korean, Vietnamese, and various others. And as the world is gradually Westernized, these practices are becoming less and less common.

Don't ask the Chinese. You'll have to ask the Vietnamese or Koreans... and even then not all people of either of those cultures dine on dog meat. It is becoming less popular as western culture spreads throughout the world.

It's not "general chinese culture" to eat dogs, since it happensm more in specific areas than others.
I heard Koreans eat more dog meat though...they do eat dog meat too tho
It's basically stray dogs they eat, they definatly have pet dogs too.
Never ate any(or would ever), but I heard someone said it tasted like chicked(god, EVERYTHING tastse like chicken, doesn't it?) and another say mutton or like veal.
In China, they also have fried bugs(hehe, protein, man) like grasshoppers and crickets and also snails in spicy sauce/juice/whatever. The snails taste exactly like spicy thai clams or something.

Seriously, without joking, an ex-coworker told me it tastes something like lamb. He said he wasn't too crazy about it, by the way, and hasn't eaten it in years.
in parts of China they do prepare dog, but it's not like they eat it constantly like Westerners eat beef, but there are dishes prepared with dog meat.

Perhaps you should do more research rather than listening
to prejudicial statements made by small minded people and then perhaps when you draw your own conclusions based on
facts, you will have gained enough wisdom to answer your question yourself.
