Don't worry about impressing him. The way to a man's heart is through his stomach!! Make a "Home made meal " if you really want to impress him.
If you aren't up for that one, some place where you could talk quietly and get to know each other.

Our first date was at a French restaurant. I really don't think the type of food matters as long as it is good food.
Unless you know he likes an ethnic food, you might try a steak place.

You asked a boy lawyer out on a date. Still not calling them men? If you're hot it doesn't matter where you take him. The same is true if you aren't.

French I believe, can never go wrong with fine food and wine. Find a place that is romantic and quiet, so that you can enjoy the ambiance.
Tips, dress nicely and make a reservation before hand.

HOOTERS! HOOTERS! works like a charm...everytime. It says you are laid back AND sophisticated, attentive to his needs, feminine but down to earth. Try flirting with the waittress alot, order the snow crab legs or oysters! Don't forget the pitcher of sangria! Hello aphrodesiacs! P.S. try to get a table where you have him sit NOT facing a television.
