I was dreaming that I was sleeping and in my sleep I was also dreaming that I was crying in my dream. It's a dream inside a dream of another dream. What does it mean to say?

To dream of being asleep, is to be unaware of something. It is literally saying there is something you are asleep to, something you are not aware of.
crying in dream portrays release of sorrow, grief, misery, that has been held back, knowingly or unknowingly, during the day

If you can dream about dreaming, you might be starting to do what is called "lucid dreaming", which means having just enough awareness of the fact that you're dreaming, to take control of the dream. People say it's an element of being psychic; well, I don't know about that.

I don't know much of the science of it, but I remember that when I was a child I gradually became aware, in dreams, that the places I was visiting in the dreams were places that previously I had only visited in dreams. At first my dream response was, "But it's real this time"; then gradually over a number of years it got to where if I had a bad dream I could take control and change the ending to something I wanted, without waking up. I don't know if it would help a person to take control of things in their outer life, but it certainly saves on waking up with a nightmare!

As for the crying in the dream dream, you'd have to remember exactly what kind of crying it was. Was it about going somewhere in your head where you were simply free to express your emotions, for instance, or was it real pain or despair? Did the act of crying seem to resolve the feeling, or was it something nasty in the closet?

Sounds like you have an issue buried deep inside of you that causes you pain or sadness. Something that you can't or don't want to remember perhaps? Maybe a forgotten trauma from your childhood or a painful or embarrasing situation.

On the other hand, it could just mean that you ate too much and got indigestion.

dreams are just such cool things... this doesn't sound like a dream that has an interpretation to it... but that's just my opinion. If you truly beleive that this dream has a meaning you should find a prophet or a true servant of God (someone that actually talks to God)
