as long as you like. I often have my comptuer on for over one week straight. You just want to make sure that your laptop is not overheating. You can do this by making sure that it is either on a desk or coffetable with an even surface (and not on top of any papers or cloth) so that air can freely run under and around the laptop. Or you can invest in a coolpad which plugs into the usb port of the laptop and rests underneath it circulating air using its internal fans.

Depends on the age of the computer. Modern computer will last about 2 hours (approx the length of a DVD) But obviously if you are not using the DVD/CD-ROM the batterylife is a little longer. To make sure you get the longest life out of you battery make sure that every 3 months you let the laptop run the battery down completely. It is not wise to keep a laptop on chanrge all the time as it will shorten the batterylife when not on charge.

yes 2-3 days no prob
2-3 weeks no prob - set the appropriate power options...
if you do leave on, make sure the power options atleast include turning off the hdd's within an hour to save the life of the drive. The Hdd will turn on automatically again when you start using the pc.
Have a screen saver set, if not stand-by as well...

See if there's a bios replace, may be sure some matters in case your motherboard is the reason. As reported that's likely taking position to stay faraway from any damage, #a million reason may nicely be overheating, i'd get a can of compressed air and blow that airborne dirt and dirt outta there to be on the threat-loose element, in spite of if i did not imagine it grow to be. Failing that, attempt a communique board that specialises in computers, you'll locate those with a lot more beneficial knowhow than right here.

You can leave it on as long as you like.
We have 2 laptops on for extreme lengths of time that work uses for network monitoring and or UPS power supply monitoring.
also might want to consider a laptop cooler such as a Antec USB-Powered Notebook Cooler

Time is unlimited untill it gets heated.
Ur cooling system and the sorrounding environment should be cool to protect the laptop from getting heated.

When it gets heated then problems will arise.
So if u can protect it without getting heated then u can work for long hours.

No problem.

that depends on your battery life. Have you fully recharged the battery the way it should be? To do that you need to take them out. then press your power button to release any left over juice. then hook up your ac power again after reinstalling the batteres back in your notebook. you should charge them to the full maximum amount. then let them run out all the way with out using ac power. let it drain and shut off your notebook automatically. once you have done that, then hook up your ac and fully charge the batteries. It should last alot longer.

Depends on its battery life... or if its plugged into a power source other than the battery. Mine's been known to be on for weeks at a time.
