y-c=x(ax+b)
x=(y-c)/(ax+b)

it is the quadratic formula but you whe you show the solution you HAVE to say
for "a" NOT equal to 0

x = -b +- square root of b^2 - 4ac
---------------------------------------------

x is equal to negative b plus minus square root of (b squared - 4 times a times c) all that over 2 times a
