You can separate aspirin, paracetamol and caffeine (common components in OTC analgesics) by TLC using a mixture of ethyl acetate / acetic acid / water as the mobile phase. You'd need to look up the exact proportions of each solvent, I'm afraid it escapes me at the moment!
The spots of the separated components can be visualised under UV light.
