I read somewhere that moisture is bad for them so i don't know what is going on. and it also prefers under the water bowl rather than it's log which is where the heat is at... no it isn't too hot. and i fed it and i don't think it has pooped yet?

Corn snakes are very shy animals and prefer to hide where they feel secure so with the weight of the dish on top of it it feels very safe. Your snake should empty its bowels three or four days after you have fed it. Then it should be fed with the appropriate size defrosted mouse each week.

Corn Snakes, or their cousin, the King both love to hide in cool places. Your habitat may be to hot, 10 gallon = 50w Infrared bulb. ALL Reptiles require calcium, and the best is Rep-Cal with D3, it isn't expensive and should be available at most Pet Shops or from a vet. Good Luck !!

mine hides all the time under the water and in it! lol they like to hide and they need moisture to shed properly. dont worry its normal make sure you are misting the tank with water daily

Moisture is not bad for them. They need the moisture... as well as adequate heat. As long as you've got those... he's probably just doing what cornsnakes do.

this is very normal because they are nocturnal. It takes them a couple days to poop.
