Try Revlon Age Defying liquid makeup with Botafirm. It's got a good feel to it. Also, Laura Geller Bronze & Lighten (a compacted powder type). It's great. You can put on as many layers as you want and it still looks natural (If you get the correct shade for your skin). And the correct type of brush you use for this powder is important in order to get an all over blended look. Good Luck

I suggest a liquid foundation because it doesnt cake like the well like the cake-style foundations in a compact, and it doesnt feel as heavy. Loreal has some good ones.
Actually if you are living in a hot climate and you want something natural and not too heavy try a tinted moisturiser or a tinted sunscreen which you'd have to ask about at make-up counters. When its cooler you can seal it in with a bit of powder. (I prefer loose powder but you cant always get it)
If you can afford it though, Clinque's range is amazing and because they are very professional you can describe all your problems to the make-up girls and they will choose for you and test it out on you to show you what its like.

Frustrating isn't it? I searched a long time (even worked for Estee Lauder for a long time). But I really have to say with hot weather and such Bare Minerals comes pretty close. It is easy to touch up with the travel compact but for the most part it stays put doesn't cake and looks more natural than anything else I've tried. We live in AZ and it stays well even in triple digit temps.

Try MAYBELLINE DREAM MATTE MOUSSE. It is really light, unlike cream or liquid foundation... but it gives better coverage than compact powder n 2-way cakes. I live in Singapore and it's really hot too. The mousse foundation is really good, it doesn't just melt away and it is not messy to apply unlike liquid. You just need to use ur fingers and it blends very well.
If you don't mind spending a little more. Clinique Derma White pore minimizing mousse is also good, keeps you fair and minimizes your pore while you look good at the same time.

I find that MAC foundation is the best. It is economical and is not too heavy. They have a few different kinds so you can see which one you like better. they also have a great variety of compacts some are creamy so you can skip the foundation and get coverage from the compact!
I have also heard that prescriptives had a great selection, they also mix it up based on your colouring.

AJ, I'm in Hawaii too. Precisely, Kapolei (Oahu).Ok, go to your nearest MAC store. Talk to one of the consultants, they will help you find one that will fit your skin and find you what you want. If you don't want to do it that way, a lot of salons or boutiques will charge you 55 dollars to teach you what would work best for your skin type and your needs.
