Samuel Smiles wrote: “ ‘Hope is like the sun, which, as we journey towards it, casts the shadow of our burden behind us.’ … Hope sweetens the memory of experiences well loved. It tempers our troubles to our growth and our strength. It befriends us in dark hours, excites us in bright ones. It lends promise to the future and purpose to the past. It turns discouragement to determination.”

Hope is that you believe it is true. Hope is a means to an end.
Hope is some times all a person has. It is better to have a little hope as opposed to no hope at all. Hope is never giving up or giving in to negative moods of others. Hope is powerful. I own it and nobody can take my dreams away. A person is not supposed too. If you say so i hope so for your sake and mine. Hope is what faith grows into belief of father son and holy spirit. Hope is a prayer asking god and believing you will recieve it if it was meant to be. Ask and it shall be yours. Knock and the door will open. Seek and you shall find.

hope
n.
Desire and expectation rolled into one.
Delicious Hope! when naught to man it left --
Of fortune destitute, of friends bereft;
When even his dog deserts him, and his goat
With tranquil disaffection chews his coat
While yet it hangs upon his back; then thou,
The star far-flaming on thine angel brow,
Descendest, radiant, from the skies to hint
The promise of a clerkship in the Mint.
