It's normal. Masturbation is best for some people when they are alone, because they are more comfortable with themselves, not needing to worry about what anyone thinks of you.

I totally agree ... I find it ackward to have someone just looking at me when I jerk-off too. Makes ya feel self-conscious and kills the whole mood one tries to create to have a maximum effect.
