One of Australia's most prominent anti-conscription supporters during the First World war was Archbishop Mannix of Melbourne. His arguments against conscription helped to defeat the conscription demands of then Prime Minister Billy Hughes.

Depends on what war your looking for - i dont know about World War 2, but i am sure that with both Korea and Vietnam there were mass protests over conscription.

WWII conscription was not used to send conscripts overseas in Australia.
