Chemical bleaches and home remedies involving whatever fruits (I saw papaya and orange) mentioned above don't really work. At best they can help your tan fade, and they may clear your complexion. At worst chemical bleaches can actually damage your skin.
Honestly, if you have dusky skin, it will never get albino white (unless you happen to be Michael Jackson). What you can do is take care of it and give yourself a luminous complexion.
I would suggest drinking lots of water and protecting yourself from the sun. Use sunscreen. Wear a hat when you're outside. Exfoliate and moisturize regularly.
Healthy skin is beautiful skin.
This is probably not the answer you want to see, but get used to your skin color and learn to love it and make it work for you. You don't have to be light skinned to be good looking. Look how beautiful people like Iman, Alek Wek, Oluchi Onweagba, Waris Dirie, Naomi Campbell, Tyra Banks, Eva Mendes, Adriana Lima and Selita Ebanks (to name a few!) are. It's often repeated, but it is true that we come in all sorts of shades, from milky to caramel-like to chocolatey, and it's part of what makes each and every one of us beautiful.

DONT that is the best advice I can tell you. Even with the lightening creams on the market it just doesn't look right and doesn't last anyway. Please be happy with who you are. If you absolutely have to then Estee Lauder has a good product in the renutriv line, but it's only available oversees. It at least won't damage your skin like some of the other products out there. There is one from Mexico that is so bad it had mercury in it, these products are not a good idea.

Papaya can naturally lighten our skin tone....Cut papaya in cubes and scrub it all over your face, leave it for a few minutes and then wash it..... Eating tomato in raw will purify and reduce the black dots in our face, therefore smoothen it....Besides that, I heard saffron can also make our face become fairer...All you need to do is add a little saffron into a glass of fresh milk, and drink it before you go to bed everyday...Try it and see, trust me it works!
