There are two things you can do.Try running the following two menus of ccleaner first
cleaner > Analyze > Run Cleaner
issues > Scan For Issues > Fix Selected Issues
Read Howto of CCleaner on the link below
http://bestofrest.blogspot.com/2006/11/ccleaner.html
after that run system file checker, to replace corrupt system files
http://mypchelp.blogspot.com/2006/12/system-file-checker.html
If this does not solve your issue then you should format the hard disk and reinstall all software.

You could try manually removing it, or using some other antiviruses/antispyware etc to get rid of it.
You can purchase, like someone said Sophos, or AhnLab, or CAT, they're pretty reliable. And for Antispyware, I'd purchase SpyHunter, and also download System Mech and Windows Security Task Manager
You can find most viruses by referring to the internet, type in any suspiscious processes and registry values (With screenshots preferably)
If you decide to remove some registry values though, back it up first.
Go to Start -> Run -> regedit to find the registrys.
Why do you think your PC is infected though? What does it do?
VSAdd-in, Remove it maually with a trial version of the older version of System mechanic. If nothing works at all, move all the programs you need to an external Harddrive. And use DriveScrubber, or equivalent programs to remove absolutely everything from your computer. Then just reinstall everything.
Sorry I couldn't do much to help

When ever unknown problems like this occur, carryout system restore. Restore the PC to a day previous to the day when there was no virus or any problems. It may be a few weeks or months back. You have to decide the date. It is easier and mostly your problems will be solved.. If you want to know an effective procedure for system restore please visit the following site.
http://www.jskproducts.co.uk/RestorePC.htm
After successfull repairs select a standard antivirus and an anti spyware and install in your PC so that the problem does not occur again.
You can get free/paid antivirus at http://jskproducts.co.uk/antivirus.htm
Select and install a suitable anti spy ware from the following link .

I go on all sorts or sites (not rude ones lol) but like unprotected sites and i dont get virus cuz i do this.
Set your comp to an early date (help and support)
Delete all temp files clean your computer of files pic's music you dont use or want also delete your cookies-temp internet files ( internet options).
Clean disk C (right click, properties, clean disk.
Defrag which sorts out all your comp space files and unwanted files ect (again right click on local disk c the properties, tool's,defragment now.)
Download bullguard www.bullguard.com (this is a firewall and anti virus protection bullguard gets the virus's you can never find i tell yu this works!
Then if still no changes i would save the things you want onto a CD then reformat your computer.
If you need step by step help e-mail or add me to msn sum1_u_dont_know@hotmail.co.uk. Good Luck.

Try this its free..Go to windows live home.Run the windows live one care trial, its pretty good.
Also you can run the pc health check available there.
Sites like Softpedia have a lot of free trials, you should be able to find something there, nod 32 is good on trojans.
Windows defender is pretty weak but you can run it alongside Norton.
On my system xp system restore has never really worked so i now run norton go back.
I never get virus problems now ,but i spend close to 200 us a year on antivirus.
Truth is nothing good is free..good luck

Have you got XP? if so use windows restore to restore to a date when the computer was behaving....you will lose all the things you installed since then though so be sure you want to do it. Alternatively You can download windows defender from Microsoft and that should tell you if you have a Virus or not.
Failing all that try downloading a trial version of Norten or Mcafee from downloads.com and remove using those.

You are infected but not with a virus. AVG cannot detect or remove Smitfraud Trojans. Smitfraud Trojans cannot be removed by normal AntiSpyware programs and need specialized programs for removal. These two sites have free programs and procedures that will remove the Smitfraud and toolbar it installed.

I agree AVG is a free anti-virus, its sounds good but will not cover all areas. I suggest purchasing Sophos Anti-Virus its pretty kick ***, if not make sure AVG is fully updated and run another scan

It needs a lot of vitamin c, at least 3 litres of water and a good nights sleep (with a hot water bottle). That should get rid of the virus, works for me anyway.
