That is a easy question. hard to find malaysian who allows shoe in the house. most case is never

Not many, that's for sure. It's a matter of hygiene. I think it's only Americans who wear shoes inside the house. I'm a European and I haven't seen a European household so far where shoes are allowed in the house. The difference is that Malaysians prefer to be bare-footed in the house, while Europeans wear slippers.

Last time we visited some friends in Malaysia,we took off our shoes too but unlike Scandivania,we have a place to put our jackets & shoes in the corridor,wherelse in Malaysia, the shoes are left outside.Some of our friends offer us " in house slippers" but most of them are bare footed.Even when we're home, we usually walk around in socks or "bedroom" slippers when its winter.

The wearing of shoes meant for outdoor use indoors is considered barbaric in many Asian cultures and Malaysia is no exception. It is almost always never done here.

As far as I concerned, I has yet see anyone wearing shoe directly into the house. This is simply not the Malaysian custom...

even if malaysian wears shoes in the house, they don't wear the same shoes to go outside.

i usually dont practice waering shoes in the house unless i am sick or something. Like my late mother, she used to use slippers in the house cause the floor was cold for her and it was not good for her health.

we use house slippers/sandals whichever is most comfortable on our feet. we dont use the same shoes outside and inside the house.
