you want the paper to come over the top. you can tell if you look at the pattern pressed into the paper and it's right side up.

When I first got married, I rolled from the bottom, He rolled from the top. It made him so aggitated that I decided it wasn't worth hearing that mouth fuss, so we have been rolling it from the top for 26 years. Everybody's Happy!

I choose top...as it helps to control the flow of the paper. If it is from bottom...and you pull..the whole roll comes out without stopping. But if you pull from top..it comes out a lot slower and so you can stop taking it out whenever you decide.

From the top! Because it's easier to grab the paper. From the bottom it's too close to the wall.

Right off the top is the only way to go. I tried it from the bottom once but found it to be a disappointingly unemotional experience.

We have it roll from the top. Not sure why, I guess it's just that much easier to rip or something.

i don't think there is a actual "correct" way.when i change the roll i have it so it rolls from the top.
