No, As Dhoni can't play with new ball I think.
If he comes in the middle order he gets in a good form.
The run rate will increase but maybe in 3 overs itself Dhoni may get out if he comes in the opening.
Dhoni is a very good batting at spinners and medium pace bowlers.
So it is better that Dhoni enters in the middle order and not in the strike or running.

Dhoni would perform well if he comes in as the 4th batsman rather than 2nd because he can hit boundries comfortably only at 4th position.....It would be hard for him to play with the new ball...We have our Master Blaster and Dada to open or Sehwag to open...So I think Dhoni will perform well at 4th position...

no.. he cant open the inn because we have lot of openers in our team(ganguly, shewag, uthappa, karthick.tendulkar) but we have few middle order batsman... we need dhoni to rise the run rate at the end of the innings.
