On your contacts go to edit for each one and make sure their info is saved on the card and not the phone. On all the models I have, they have a symbol that will differentiate the two.

It might depend on what model of phone you have, but generally when you take out the SIM card the numbers are already stored on it. There's no need for any additional "backup."

store ur no.s in the sim card

or if u have a smartphone
i mean s60 series phone of nokia
connect it to ur comp through pc suite
and sycnronise ur mobile
it will store ur contacts, imp meetings etc.
and when u get ur phone upgraded again syncronise it the contact will be transferred to ur mobile.

otehrwise
write ur all contacts by hand on a paper
lolz
