Are you feeding your fry brine shrimp? When I bred discus I found that brine shrimp tended to be a poor food. Their exoskeleton is spiny and will bind inside these delicate babies. I fed mine daphnia without problem.

But as for your immediate problem, I wish I could name the medication for you but I can't. If you can't find anything at Discus Forum http://www.discusforums.com/forum/ then you may want to give AFM forums a try http://www.aquariumfish.com/aquariumfish/board/default.aspx/

Hope it helps.

Any fry that are recently hatched will have a swollen belly, that is the remains of the egg sac that is actually feeding them until they are ready for other food.

Are they feeding off the sides of the parents? Discus fry do this for some time after they become free swimming. Are they swimming at all or just wigglers still?

If they are swimming they are ready for fry food, you should be feeding infusoria or a commercial liquid fry food. Newly hatched brine shrimp (easy to hatch & feed) or a very fine powdered food such as "SeraMicron" is good. SeraMicron looks like brown flour and is sold in small yellow plastic cans at the better fish stores.

Never bred discus, myself. Did a lot of Angelfish and African Frogs (along with the easier fish). Are you using brine shrimp eggs?
Did you strip off the cysts or buy pre-stripped brine shrimp cysts?

I was losing maybe 65% of my fry due to their ingesting "unhatched" shrimp. You could see the golden cysts filling their guts and probably clogging up their digestive systems (hence the bloating). Have you tried culturing tiny worms/nematodes? This was my 2nd stage of live food for my fry. Easy and bountiful.

Otherwise, it might be other food you're supplying, bacteria feeding on the same food.
