Dont do it!! Sell it and buy a CSL...The M3 is perfect the way it is.

Why buy a new M3 if its too slow, you should of got a GT3 or Turbo..

I have an M3 E30 Evo and i love it, i have a 996 turbo too but the E30 far more fun...if you start putting turbos on it etc etc it will lose its soul..

If you're in the US, one of the safest, most effective ways to upgrade a new BMW is by Dinan in California - www.dinanbmw.com i think. They have a supercharger kit for most of the newer bimmers that is quite proven. Korman auto works also does BMW hot rod work, but not usually the new models i think.

If you have an SMG watch out getting crazy with the launch control - the computer records every time you do it and after 7 launches the warranty on the clutch is no longer valid $$$

There's not too much you can do to the engine. Maybe a turbo kit or a supercharger, but both options would be incredibly expensive.

You could strip it out to lose some weight.

You could give it stiffer suspension so that it goes round corners quicker, and you could upgrade the brakes so that it stops quicker.

If that still isn't fast enough, then take it to Hartge who'll fit an M5 engine into it. See the link below....

If I have been you, i might evaluate it a type of restoration. so that's relatively helpful to look at fixing any indoors themes, no aftermarket cheesery however, face up to attempting to over mod it or "rice" it up, only face up to doing that. you will get plenty extra know from serious BMW fanatics in case you certainly attempt to repair it to its unique M3-goodness. seem into however, upgrading suspension areas, they'd choose updating to new areas, shocks, administration hands, bushings, that form of element. additionally, sparkling the automobile completely, indoors complete sparkling up, engine bay, outdoors, etc. eliminate any tuner stickers, only attempt to make it inventory. once you provider and look after it, take it to a BMW professional, this would properly be a ought to. make certain you utilize OEM areas, ask any and all questions, if the mechanic gets aggravated, circulate alongside, they gained't do a appropriate job. using fact in the event that they are no longer enthused approximately engaged on it and only choose to do speedy huge jobs, which potential they do no longer proportion your interest and on the middle, may well be only after extra jobs particularly than a customer they relish. In a manner, the shop ought to have a great attitude and be on a similar internet site approximately making the M3 great returned. DIY is nice to maintain, yet have confidence me, its extra useful for a professional to do it, and alongside the way, you study additionally. do no longer angel eye, halo it, do no longer over place M3 stickers or extra badges, think of classic BMW restoration at this element if in actuality its an unique E30 M3. a very particular automobile.

Go ahead, make yourself a laughing stock. Anyone who prances around in a BMW, especially an M3, is a target for derision in my book. Round where I live, only drug dealers drive that sort of motor.
