They can't be interpreted. Anyone who tries to do may beleive they have the ability, but are being 'controlled' by evil spirits.

People's behavior consists of both conscious decisions and decisions that they're not aware of.

For example: when you almost drown to death because of whatever reason, from that moment on you may consciously want to avoid all kinds of lakes and swimming pools. As time passes by you get used to making that decision and it will become an automatic way of behavior that you're probably not aware of anymore.
Same goes for when you've been bitten by a dog as a little child, as an adult you still may want to avoid dogs, etcetera etcetera.

In other words: certain types of behavior and decisions -whilst being awake- can be linked to events from the past.

If certain dreams are a way of processing/reflecting things that happened during the day (events) and issues that you need to deal with (thoughts), then the occurences in one's dream -whilst being asleep- may have the same sort of connection to the person's life.

People don't have nightmares without a reason. There is a connection with the person's life. It could even be a physical reason, like having a fever. But there is a connection.
The difference is that dreams don't necessarily present things the way they are in real life.

For instance, when you feel helplessly fatigued everyday, that doesn't mean that you'll dream everything that happened throughout the day exactly over again.
You could also have a dream/nightmare about wanting to shout for help (representing helplessness), but not being able to produce any sound (which represents fatigue).

But that's where it gets risky. Because the other way around, if you know you dreamt that, you can't be a 100% sure that your dream is caused by your feelings of helplessness and fatigue. There's still an element of uncertainty.

However, if you write down your dreams every morning for a few weeks, and you notice recurring themes, then things might become more clear.
And if one can't figure it out himself, then someone with psychological insight could ask the right questions to see what's going on in one's life.

The Four Rules of Dream Interpretation

1. Everything Is Me
For the beginner, this is probably the most difficult aspect of dreams to accept. Dreams of family members, friends, enemies, - all represent various aspects of the dreamer's personality.

Solid things such as houses, buildings, cars, etc. reflect the physical body.
Symbols of fire in dreams, such as fire, bombs, electricity, etc. represent the dreamer’s emotions.
Air, atmosphere or the interior of a room show the dreamer’s state of mind.
Water symbols i.e. sea, rivers, lakes, canals, etc. reflect the spiritual or cultural life of the dreamer. How water appears or is organized indicates the dreamer's philosophy of life.

2. Cause and Effect
All the symbols in dreams are linked to show cause and effect. In other words find a symbol to show the cause of the problem and another symbol to illustrate the effect.

3. Personal Responsibility
The dreamer is ALWAYS responsible for what happened, is happening, can happen or will happen in the dream. On the surface these seem to be outside our control but when we apply this rule we find that we are responsible for our own progress.

4. Avoidance
Look for what you are trying to avoid in the dream. This is what you need to accept or face up to in waking life. Dreams try to create wholeness or completeness in the dreamer by drawing scattered aspects of his personality together.

The symbols in dreams represent something that's going on in your life. There are certain symbols that signify stress or anxiety, but most often, the odd symbols represent something or someone in your life.

There are many online dream dictionaries. Check them out.

Do not attempt to interpret dreams...

Your fate is determine by you. You control your life. You make your dreams happen. To interpret dreams means you are willing to be enslaved by it.
