Leave the country for a year, & start taking exams to qualify at a higher grade. What's a year abroad compared to a lifetime career? By the time you return, your employers will assume that you have acquired such expertise that they'll promote you or offer you your boss's job.

Look at the bottoms of your legs, please. My goodness, FEET. Know what they are for? Taking hikes. Use 'em. Life is too short to have a bad job with a bad boss.
