I wanted to get a train for under the tree. And I was wondering how much one costs,and I dont need anything fancy, just something to keep my boys happy watching going around. thanks.

aah.. if kids are involved I would not spend too much money on once since boys are involved. You can find some nice sets from Toys R Us. I would expect to spend apporx. $50 to $100 for an 8 foot tree. This is off season so shopping around on ebay for chirstmas trains and decor is a good time now to get a good deal on your holiday needs

There are several styles of trains to choose from. You can get a regular train, or you can get a Christmas train.

I have seen the Polar Express on sale.

It will depend on how much you want to spend. Trains (as a hobby) can start out under a hundred dollars for a beginner set up to several thousand dollars for the rare and hard to find cars, engines and assessories.

I know of a seller with a Christmas set for $250.00
