I guess im just mature for my age (17) but along with wanting to do what most guys my age want to do (rush and join fraternities, party, etc) i wish i could just skip all of that and just get married. Ofcourse i do intend on partying and living the college experience (unless i DO get married) but i'd rather find my sweetheart and cuddle w/ her until the stars burn out. Is this weird or am i just kinda mature? most of my friends just want to join a fraternity, drink beligerantly, and have random sex...

Go to college, have fun. Maybe date a few girls. But don't lose that attitude. You sound like a sweet guy, and any girl would be happy to find someone that isn't supperficial

At your age, I think it's rare to find a guy who doesn't just want to mess around with girls and get wasted, but getting married is a bit of an extreme! Girls will naturally be attracted to your simple and sincere nature so enjoy being young and find someone special. From a female perspective, lots of girls are looking to be loved. Remember, it's okay to cuddle with your sweetheart and enjoy your college years as well. Best of luck!

Weird. You are entirely too young to get married. If you are still wanting to party (IF you don't get married) then you aren't ready for the commitment of a family. Every 17 year old dreams of getting married SOMEDAY. You don't even have a sweetheart and you think you're ready for it.

i felt the same way when i was 17. i cared less about partying. i married at 21 a lil young. we are no longer together, but thats because of him. i would definitly wait. 25 is good. would you rather marry at 18 and have a failed marriage or wait until your 25 and increase your odds? you change so much between 18-25. wait it out

Try the partying out first ... if you get married, it might be all good, but then you risk a midlife crisis of sorts, and you will want to party with 18 year old girls on your 25th wedding anniversary - tragic!!!

Its infatuation. You are too young to get married and commit to any girl spoiling yours and her life. Your first aim should be your career. Yeah you can go out with your friends for partying and drinking. Random sex is upto you or if you have girl friend you can go steady with her.
