Well I know I did I plugged it into a 7.2 Portable dvd battery by energizer and it powered up for a sec then cut off and yeah now it won't turn on at all. One of my friends suggested that I may have fried the motherboard. I don't know if this is the case, is it possible something that little could of fried the entire motherboard? (keep in mind that the input for the Slimline ps2 is 8.5) wouldn't that underload it?

Your statement of underload doesn't mention the amperage. It probably had more amps than the ps2 was meant to take.
