Seriously... is it something that Malaysians have to lie again? What do Malaysians have to offer? The Malaysian education system is racially and socially biased (even towards their own nationalities ---sources: The Exam Syndicate).

Serious answers only please, don't give me that typical Malaysian answer. You guys can't help denying yourselves.

Sarah: I am not against Malaysia. This question is supposed to help Malaysians if they ever know how to admit where and what gone wrong, not living in denial. Its about doing something and making it happen, not just lipservice like the Malaysian parliament.

Wow so there is such thing as racial profiling in Malaysia even in their education but I can see that from the answers here, the ones that are benefitting are the ones getting pissed when their benefits are being in question.

Is this because the Malays consider all other people not Malay or Muslims as infidels and foreigners?.

Malaysia has a lot to offer to foreign students, like the rainforests of Borneo, the ethnic diversity, great escapes, good infrastructure in all major towns, good weather year round, low cost of living, the possibility of learning an Asian language... but unfortunately as mentioned there is indeed a lack of qualified educational personnel, books are difficult to get by, and maybe you will be confronted by religious and/or ethnic discrimination (but what would that mean to you as a foreigner?).

I would recommend anyone to take up studies in Malsysia, even if it is only for a semester or two if the subject is available here.

I would not recommend foreign parents send their children to governmental schools though... private institutions abound and are of good standard.

Malaysian government commits human rights abuses at its very own peril. No more desirable united states of america has succeeded by making use of committing atrocities against human beings no count if foreigners or their very own voters. The legal device must be good sufficient to venture those themes. Deport the foreigners in the event that they're right here illegally, in case you do no longer desire them regardless of the undeniable fact that that's atrocious to whip them. A united states of america must be compassionate to human beings, what's the version between animal and a individual, if we don't handle others respectfully? How does Australia or New Zealand deals with foreigners now? i'm no longer helping them, yet they do no longer beat them up.

basically if u study in a private college or MONASH university here, the education is not racially biased.
Im HONEST!!
Tell u the frank, i was studying in a chinese school here in msia,
but the government will give LOW GRADES to ALL ALL ALL chinese school students.
Tell you what. I just took my SPM, i wrote the answers of my english paper n let the teacher mark, i got 83. But when the results came out, i got a F.U.C.K.I.N.G "C"..
WHAT THE HELL IS THAT??!!
all of my classmates who study really hard have 5 fail subjects.
If u r studying in the national school, u can get an A for only 50marks.
So, Its ur choice.
Recently, the National University of malaysia opens up their first year of degree to post secondary school MALAYS, which means u will study first year of degree at the tender age of 18.
Do u think they can cope with it? Of course they can, because the standard of their degree is as low as high school.

Just my opinion, infact i have even added you in my fan list..whoa cool huh ! But as per your question, i would rather people study overseas than in Malaysia.

I'm a foreigner studying in Malaysia. It isn't something 'wow' but it isn't that bad. The evaluation system is fair, although there might be individual lecturers who prefer their own race or dislike foreigners. In terms of facilities Malaysian universities are ok, but they must do something about under-qualified lecturers and lecturers who don't have sufficient command in English (if it's their second language, let me tell you it's my fourth).

Malaysia can offer many courses, but they're weak in nuclear physics and Islamic studies are slightly deviated. Malaysian education system is racially and socially based only on pre-university level, than it's only the scholarships for private universities and UiTM where Malays have their privilleges.

Malaysia can offer low study fees and low living cost. In terms of quality, they can't offer as much as Oxford, Cambridge, Sorbona, Beijing, Yale, Stanford or Harvard, but let's say that Malaysian education enables you to work, though as for any job, you have to make your own effort in order to be among the best.

Malaysian university education system is no lie. It is actually something good about Malaysia. Shortage of books available at bookshops is a problem though.

Nothing it offers. As long as the people remains under-educated, the so call elite of the narrowest minded can govern the country, who care about the rest as long as they can become richer and richer

Yes and no.

Yes if you already have basis of the English language and a huge amount of guts to face the harsh conditions of life there. Cheap foods, cheap transportation (unless you're getting cheated) and over-friendly classmates who would ask you the darnest things (but isn't that usual wherever we are in the world?)

If you're talking about them coming to learn English, I would say, go to Singapore or in fact, Thailand (I have my reason for saying this because they have strict regulations on usage of slangs and their lecturers speak excellent English). They have better English there. In fact, I have met many Cambodians, Chinese, Vietnamese and Thais who were disappointed with studying English/in English here because of the lack of proper English usage in communications, hence making it a problem for them in writing skills.

Setbacks would be bad public services, rude drivers and you seriously don't want to get harrased by police. They're a nuisance.

I had heard of the Malaysian Exam Syndicate thing about special quotas for students entering a public university (eg. if you're a Bumiputera or not), and their exam marking system. So, this is another disadvantage for a foreigner studying in Malaysia. It's an open secret and most Malaysians know but don't talk about it because they're afraid of the government.
