If you know God, then you know that he did not bring death into the world, Adam did when he disobeyed God.
Read Gen. 2:16-17 and Gen. 3:6 again. From that day on, our days on earth were numbered and none of us know how long or short that number is.
Fortunately, if you know God, then you know that the end of this life is not the end. Those people that we care about may not physically be here, but they are not far away and we will see them again.

Sorry for your loss. Not sure if this is helpful, but maybe. It's always hard to know what to say, or what to not say, to help. Nothing really helps much. It's a huge loss, always. Hope you find others who share your values, and appreciate you just as much. That's in no way disloyal, it's carrying on the values they lived for, and encouraging those in others - so hang in there : )

"And when she buries a man, that action concerns me: all mankind is of one author, one volume; when one man dies, one chapter is not torn out of the book, but translated into a better language."

I am very sorry to hear what I presume to be a loss of a loved one! It is very understanding why you feel that way; I certainly would! To me, the role model to emulate when thoughts enter your mind like that, is John Travolta. While already well known, he was devastated when he lost his true love to cancer. Even so, he kept busy, did movie after movie (I consider him to be one of the greatest actors of the last 30+ years), and eventually became happily married with beautiful children. A person CAN change and yet still keep their lost love ones to heart and prayer

people come and go from our lives everyday, the significant and insignificant all have a message for us. I believe that when they are close and are suddenly taken, that is the loudest message from God. What was it about that person that made everyday special? God wants us to keep that flame burning. He has passed the torch, carry it with honor. Peace.

God do not take away the people we care. God help them. Maybe someday God will take you too. God will take all of us but not all together. God's will.
