Dear Friend You cannot Store any thing That is more than the size of the disc capacity.The Capacity of a Floppy Disc is Generally 1.44M.B.As a general song of 5minutes in Mp3 Format will take atleast 5MB you can only store a song that is very small that is a few seconds atmost 1 to 2 minutes

Yes u can store songs in the floppy provided the file size does not exceed 1.44 MB.. As most of the MP3 format songs are more than this capacity u cannot store them in a floppy. Thats the reason y we can't store MP3 songs...

the data storage of the floppy isn't enough to store mp3 songs. the best disk is a CD.

You would probably want to encode it with Ogg Vorbis at a low bitrate to make it a small file and still have some quality. 1.44 MB is the limit for standard floppies. You could also get a zip drive. It's been awhile since I've seen one but my friend had one that could hold 200 MB.

Normally MP3 songs take more storage than 1.44MB (Max storage of a floppy disk)

No, because any song will be more than 4 MB, whereas floppy can hold only 1.44 MB

you can format the disk to 1,68 meg (DMF)
or just spend some money for a pen drive
a 1 gig usb pen drive is about 10 dollars now.
