This isn't scientific information.... but something I notcied while working with freshwater fish is that most tend to live in conjuction with how big they're supposed to get. For instance: Goldfish get 10 inches to a foot long..... they live 10-12 years. Guppies get 2 inches.. live 2 years... Neon tetras get an inch and a half.... live about 1-2 years. I know it's not all correct but just something I always noticed that I thought was odd.

I stay close to a lake and as a newborn we used to continuously shop lake fish in old childrens swimming pools. the only problem that I got here upon is in the commencing up they gained't consume yet after some days will adapt exceedingly plenty. the forms of fish have been great mouth bass, catfish, oscars, and minnows for nutrition. the difficulty is once you place aquarium fish in the lakes. The lake is now over populated with crimson devil's and starting to be up this fish wasn't there.

have a look around various fish profile websites, freshwater fish can live anything from 1 to 100 years, so it entirely depends on what kind of fish you're looking at!
