My ex, who is also the mother of my younger son, refuses to stay outta my life. Its been more than 2 years since we broke up, but the chick just won't stay out of my personal life and now its effecting the life I'm attempting to have with the woman I'm planning to be with.

I've tried the nice approach as well as the not so nice approach, so when both of those fail, what other options do you have?????

The only sure way to get someone you have loved out of your life is to make it unmistakably clear that you don't love them anymore. Show her the opposite of love - firmly & consistantly. The opposite of love is not hate. It's indiference. When she can't push your buttons anymore, she'll leave you alone.

The other option is a restraining order.. If she is constantly doing something and you request her not to do it (i.e., phonecalls, stalking), she is harassing you and breaking the law... You should be able to either get away or hang up the phone yourself.. However if she forces herself on you, then you can get a restraining order... She's the mother of your kid, so you'll have to have some kind of contact regarding your son, but she should stay out of your personal and romantic life.. otherwise it's harassment

Get a restraining order against her. Tell her that she is welcome to call you only if it is about your son. Make sure at she knows that you WILL have her put in jail if she continues to harass you. It is unfortunate that it has come to this. I realize that you hate to do this because she is the mother of your son, but she has put herself in this position. Some people just have to learn the hard way!
