Sounds like you broke it. Been there done that. Elevate the foot, ice it ,and when the swelling goes down use medical tape to tape the broken little toe to the toe next to it.This will act as a kind of splint and help it to heal properly. Take Ibuprofen for the pain and inflammation. That is all the doctor will do anyway.

A friend of mine tripped over a pallet in the dark two days ago and broke her big toe on one foot and another toe on the other foot. The ER said they do not do anything for broken toes anymore but to tape the broken toes to the toe next to it. That's the latest treatment.

I have broken toes so many times. All they do is tape the toes together to give them support and send you home. They also advise you to take over the counter pain meds as needed. If the toe is dislocated you might be able to re-locate it with a quick yank but if its broken it might make it worse. I'd say keep it elevated and iced and see if the swelling and pain goes away.

Egh .. it might be broken, poor little toe. I guess you could just go to the ER and ask for an X-ray. Then, at least you know. I mean, you can always refuse whatever else they suggest. You might be a while, but try an ER at a government hospital. Thats what I usually do.

Dont take it lightly, go to the doctor. Afterall it is a matter of your toe. If you do not take it seriously, then you will be in trouble and will not be able to walk instead

Put a cotton ball between your little toe and the one beside it, then tape the two together. Take ibuprofen.

If you can not walk - it's broken. You have to go to a doctor.
