Well I have a few favorite Marvel characters, but The Silver Surfer is one of my all time favorites...he has all this power but doesn't know if he should use it or even have it. He doesn't know what to do.
I also love Ghost Rider cause of the way the characters relate. Pluse he's a skeleton with a friggin' flaming skull.

At ask your self i like the unique Golden Age Sub Mariner -- because of the fact he grew to become into so undesirable. In his very own way he grew to become into like Godzilla, out to punish floor Dwellers for environmental degredation while no longer scuffling with crime or the Human Torch or romancing Betty Dean. I additionally cherished the unique Thor yet as lots because of the fact Lee and Kirby stole from each thing as because of the character -- the action picture is a techniques too serious.

I liked the X-Men when they were one team. Then I liked the New Mutants. And the Original X-Factor. Then there was the new X-Men title ("Uncanny X-men", and "X-Men"). Then there was Excalibur, Cable, Wolverine, New Mutants became X-Force, Generation X, X-Man, Deadpool (sort of X-Men title). Then came Onslaught, the Summer End-Of-Civilisation-As-We-Know... that forced you to buy Fantastic Four, Iron Man, Avengers, Hulk, Thor, Captain America... Did I forget any? Did Marvel? Could anyone afford to spend most of their paycheck for two months for a storyline that wouldn't end (Heroes Reborn, Heroes Return...) Now X-Men could easily become it's own publishing identity - with so many mutant heroes, why bother with any other?
No, I left Marvel-Money-sucking-Mutants.
But through it all my favourite has been Ghost Rider, ever since I flew to Darwin with some comics (Conan, Devil Dinosaur) including #42, The Demon Within. I watched him ride, and get cancelled. Reborn and reinvented in the 90s, become one of the hottest new titles, then stupidly Marvel gave him to Pop Mahn, who completely changed his look to the worst manga I have ever seen, and re-wrote his origin so it didn't make any sense. And he plummetted - plummetting so far that even Javier Saltares on art duties couldn't save him, plummetting so far that Marvel didn't even bother to print the last issue, although the last issue printed still said "Next Issue!!!"
When I first saw him on the cover of #42, I was hooked. He was one of the few Marvel entities who visually good just standing still - with his head on fire, and a skull for a face. Spidey has to swing to be visually inspiring, but somehow Ghost Rider the movie wasn't that good compared to Spider-man. Pity.
But I still went though. And liked it. And will buy it on DVD...
