I was extremely sick for the first 22 weeks of my pregnancy. So much that I was in the hospital three times and lost over 25 pounds. The doctor's kept telling me it would get better. First they said once I got past three months. Then they said after I start to feel the baby move. Now they tell me that I will feel better after the baby is born.
If you are still sick after three months, be sure to ask your doctor about Vitamin B6. My doctor finally found that a combination of Vitamin B6, Unisom and Phenagren every six hours has worked wonders for me. After 22 weeks of not eating well and vomiting and diarrhea, I finally can eat three meals a day along with snacks and it stays were it is supposed to.
I know what you mean about no more children. I tell my husband that this will be our only child and I will not go through it again.

With my first pregnancy I had extremely bad all-day sickness. My OB told me to buy vitamin B12 and unisom, (the sleep aid.) The active ingredient in unisom is the same as benadryl, which combats nausea. I took a vitamin and half a unisom once a day, when the nausea got so bad i had no other choice. It will make you tired, so try not to drive or anything, but it works like magic. It's also safe for the baby and won't cause any unwanted side effects. Give it a try what have you got to lose.

Hi! I had 4 kids and now they are older and are my best friends. I had morning, noon, midday, afternoon, evening and night sickness. I thought I would die---but I made it through. My girlfriend got medication from the doctor for it and she said it worked great. I didn't want to take medication so I just kept being sick. The only thing that helped even a bit was eating yogurt or ice cream. I put on alot of weight but it came off easily from all the running around with the kids. Crackers didn't help me. I really feel for you sweetie. I will send you my prayers and good thoughts. See Ya!

1. Get plenty of rest. If you are highly stressed, it is likely that your morning sickness will be exacerbated. You might also use a maternity body pillow to properly support your back and stomach, helping ensure you get a good night’s sleep.
2. Eat small portions of food throughout the day. By keeping something in your stomach, you may reduce your nausea.
3. Limit your time on your personal computer. The rapid flickering of the computer display has been tied to morning sickness.
4. Exercise. If you spend your days lying in bed, you’re more likely to feel lousy. So, be sure to get up and move, particularly during the early stages of pregnancy.
5. Consider drinking some apple cider vinegar in water, with honey added. This concoction can help calm a queasy stomach.
6. Eat some applesauce. The dish can soothe your stomach, making morning sickness go away.
7. Consider a helping of Asian pears or citrus fruit. Both are known to limit the effects of morning sickness.
8. Eat a baked potato. It’s bland—yet highly nutritious. Or, eat some bananas at breakfast. The fruit’s potassium may help prevent morning sickness.
9. Wear comfortable and non-restrictive maternity clothing. Clothes that are restrictive around the waist can lend to your nausea.
10. Consider using children’s vitamins instead of regular pre-natal vitamins. You might find them to be far easier to digest.
Other recommendations include a peanut butter sandwich with honey, decaffeinated cola, or cereal with ice-cold milk. Another great option is to try to distract yourself. If you’re focusing on your morning sickness, you’re more likely to be ill for greater periods of time. So, when you start to feel queasy, consider watching television, doing a puzzle, playing cards or reading a good book. Such activities can also relax you, making you less likely to succumb to morning sickness.

Always keep your stomach full. Keep food by the bed so that you dont wake up hungry, otherwise thats how it starts. If all elase fails crackers and dry toast do the trick. Avoid taking your iron pills till you have passed the 1st trimester, they only make things worse. On a positive note, they say that consecutive children usually do not warrant morning sickness if you had it with your first. But dont tell me that as I am pregnant with # 5 and have the worse case I have ever had. Good Luck, I know it sux.

Sorry - I think the only sure fire way to prevent morning sickness is to not get pregnant!
Some say the 2nd pregnancy (with the same person) isnt as bad so maybe that will give you hope, but really...I suffered morning sickness for the entire freaking 9 months...so I feel your pain but I havent found anything that works either!
Good luck! :o)

I think it all depends on the pregnancy. Just because you had morning sickness with the first doesn't always mean you will have it with subsequent pregnancies. When I was pregnant with my girls, I was EXTREMELY sick. Nothing seemed to help until I was about 20weeks, and then it subsided. When I was pg with my son, I only felt slightly nauseous a few times within the first few weeks, and then I was fine. I think it's a dice thow! Good Luck to you!

i know ways you experience poultry, yet this terrible feeling will bypass. i could not even walk in a kitchen without feeling ill, and heaving, and my bathing room replaced into the different area of my kitchen so it replaced right into a nightmare. There are organic anti-ailment treatments available in the chemists. Ask the pharmacist, who will provide you one which isn't damage or outcome the newborn. It shouldn't truly be lasting all day and all evening inspite of the actuality that. With you feeling so susceptible besides, i'd bypass to the physician, and note what he has to assert. possibly you're needing iron pills or some thing. Or in case you don't need to bypass see your physician, tell them the priority at your Ob appointment, they're the professionals at this. Take care and robust success xx

99% of morning sickness (weather in morn or not) is caused by a drop in blood sugar so nix the saltines and stay away from eating alot of carbs and sugars (they only cause more highs n lows) try to eat a protein it will stabilize your blood sugar and stick to complex carbs not eating (tho seems appealing at times) will only make ur blood sugar drop farther good luck
o also this helped wonders for me eat a few slices of oranges first to get the blood sugar up quickly then the protein....it takes a while for your body to digest the protein so just eating a protein can leave u feeling sicker for a while
hope that helps ....also make shure to take a good vitamin

The best is eating dry crackers with a few sips of water to help them go down before you rise ffrom bed. It stops the nausea and gets rid of stomach gases. Keep them in a covered container on your nightstand so they're handy.
