I search for them but I find stuff like YouTube. Another place has old time movies. Is there a site where you can buy a movie at a time without having to join ? And, I mean movies that I can view on my computer using a player.

you're better off just going with a service like blockbuster online. it's convenient because you can get movies at the store OR through the mail, and you can always watch dvds on your computer.
