commutitive property of addition

eek knew the answer but wrote it wrong
it should be
a + b = b + a

it means a number plus a 2nd number is the same as the 2nd number plus the first number -- doesn't matter which order they are in

Commutative Law

a+b=b+c

the other common laws are associative law

(a+b)+c = a+(b+c) just moving the ( ) around
(7 + 8)+1 = 7+(8+1)
15+1 = 7+9
16 = 16

The other law you prob run into is the distribution law

a(b+c)= ab+ac
7(8+2) = 7*8 + 7*2
7(10) = 56 + 14
70 = 70
