What is the best ideas out there? His friends have recently done magicians, go to Jungle, snake show, etc. I hope we can try something new that is held outside of our home. Any ideas? We have a budget around $200, and we live in San Francisco Bay Area.

Leggo, art supplies that are non-toxic (stick to Crayola at his age), those remote control cars, hot wheels, stuffed bunnies and teddy bears, basketballs, that sort of thing...

Best idea is find out what he wants to do. Maybe he wants to ride bikes across the Golden Gate Bridge, or have a squirt gun war. With some imagination you should be able to get cost below $200.

I'm not sure if you have these near where you live.

But chocolate factories are great for kids birthday parties you make your own chocolates and get to take them home.

Kids love playing with the melted chocolate and putting it into moulds.

Also one of those play houses or whatever they call them.

Where they have ball pits and climbing things are good.

Or Bowling.

Ask your son and involve him.
